Obituary

Kevin Eugene Brandt, 56,

Rockford, Illinois, passed away suddenly on Saturday, May 14th, 2022.

Kevin is survived by his wife Christina (Sieffert) Brandt, daughters Courtney (Kelly) Beattie and Ashley Brandt,  son Justin (Jordan) Brandt, grandchildren Ella Nimtz, Mason, Alyvia, and Paizleigh (due early June 2022) Brandt, sister Jennifer (Jeff) Ezdon, sister-in-law Kathy Brandt, brother-in-laws John (Norita) Sieffert and Matthew (Alexandra) Sieffert, nieces Emily (Adam) Catacutan, Morgan Ezdon, Paige and Briana Brandt, Geneva Fain, Megan (Jim) Butz, nephews Joseph, Nicholas, and Michael Sieffert, great nieces and nephews Genevieve and Katie Fain, AJ, CJ, Teddy, and Annie Butz, and Eleanor Catacutan.

Kevin was preceded in death by his mother Judy Sveom, father Lester Brandt, step-father Oscar Sveom, and brother Douglas (Kathy) Brandt. 

Kevin was a hard-working, amazing, and loving husband, father, and grandfather, along with many other roles, and was devoted to providing all he could for his wife, children, and grandchildren. He enjoyed watching sports, specifically rooting for the Cubs and Packers, although he never met a sport he didn’t love. He never missed an opportunity to throw out Rock music trivia or make his grandchildren laugh with an impression of Scooby Doo or Yogi Bear. He will be greatly missed by all that met and loved him. 

A memorial visitation will be held Tuesday, May 17th, 2022 at Anderson Funeral Home from 4-7pm. Funeral services will take place the following day at St. Peter’s Cathedral at 10:30 am with a luncheon to follow.
