Jean A. Castle 88
Rockford passed away Tuesday, February 19, 2019 following a short illness. Born March 24, 1930 in Rockford to Robert and Helen (Rydberg) McNeilage. Jean married Millard E. Castle in Rockford on September 24, 1960. She was formerly a teller for 1st National Bank for 16 ½ years retiring in 1966.
She was a member of Centennial United Methodist Church and Associate member of Empire United Methodist Church, Empire, MI.; Past President of Wesley Willows Auxiliary; Past Queen of Alabet Temple #31 Daughters of the Nile; Rockford Women’s Club; United Methodist Women; Sang in various choirs and was a usher for the Rockford Community Concert Association for many years.
Survived by Nephew, Timothy (Pam) Johnson of Rockford; Nieces, Patricia Ross of Wheaton, IL. and Paula (William) Burnham of Green Bay, WI.; special friend David Ross of Rockford; Several Great and Great-great Nieces & Nephews; Predeceased by her Husband, Millard in 2005.
Visitation 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 25, 2019, in Anderson-Long-Klontz Funeral Home with a Daughters of the Nile Service at 11:00 a.m. followed by funeral services with Rev. Fabiola Grandon-Mayer, Pastor, of Centennial United Methodist Church,officiating.
Burial in Greenwood Cemetery.
In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Centennial Church, Shriner’s Hospitals for Children or Wesley Willows Center.
