Rev. Kenneth Eugene Krause 89
Rockford, passed away on December 20, 2017 in his home following a lingering illness. Born in Milwaukee, WI on October 28, 1928 to Hugo and Bernice (DeBoux) Krause. He graduated from Rockford East High School in 1947, was a U.S. Marine Corp Veteran. Ken was a Tool & Die Maker for 29 years with National Lock Co. and 15 years with J.L. Clark Co. Upon retiring, he started a 2nd career in Ministry beginning with Coleta United Methodist Church for 10 years followed by Reynolds United Methodist Church and Beth Eden United Methodist Church for 8 more years.
Activities included Volunteer Fireman on the New Milford Fire District and EMT with Rockford Memorial Hospital, served a Chaplin of Tebala Shrine Center. Anyone who knew Ken, also knew he was a lifelong Chicago Cubs Fan.
Survivors include his wife, Judy; children, Kenneth (Vickie), Brian, Debra (Ron) Teeters, Pamela (Ken) Bokath; step-children, Sheila Smith, Kevin (Tammy) Smith; 11 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren: brother, David Krause.
Visitation Wednesday, January 3, 2018 in Anderson-Long-Klontz Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and a visitation, January 4, 2017 in Beth Eden United Methodist Church, 3203 Huffman Blvd, Rockford from 10:00 a.m. until service time at 11:00 a.m.
Services at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. John Wesley Lee officiating, burial will be in Willwood Burial Park, Rockford.
