Corry Elizabeth (Bosman) Regnier

Corry Elizabeth (Bosman) Regnier entered eternal life on Wednesday, September 25 after suffering a massive stroke. Corry, the daughter of Wilhelmina and Hendrik Bosman, was born in Amsterdam on November 9, 1928. Corry married Hans Regnier, Sr. on August 10, 1949 in Bloemendaal, Netherlands. Corry was a dedicated mother to Hans (Susan) Regnier, Paul (Cindy) Regnier, Michele (Megan Thomas) Regnier, and Andrew (Heather Stevens) Regnier. Corry was predeceased by her son Arnout Regnier, beloved husband Hans Regnier, Sr., and her only sister “Miep” Daniels. Corry is survived by her children, grandchildren: Johanna (Aaron) Tyler, Hans III (Christine) Regnier, Brendan Regnier, Cole Regnier and Carol (Adrian) Hill, great grandchildren: Morgan and Kelsey Schwartz and Katie, Adrian and Caroline Hill; many friends and extended family.
Corry survived the war in childhood, lived and traveled all around the world, and cultivated friendships everywhere she went. Corry’s gentle demeanor and easy laugh made even difficult moments in life bearable. She lived every day in her 90 plus years to the fullest, including loving music, sewing, water aerobics, eating wine & cheese, attending church, enjoying nature, and laughing with friends.
A Memorial Visitation will be held at 2:30 p.m. with a service following at 3:30 and a reception immediately after the service on Monday, October 14, 2019 at Court Street United Methodist Church, 215 N. Court Street, Rockford, IL 61103. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her memory to Court Street United Methodist Church, or the Salvation Army.
