Michael E. Fulling 67

 Rockford, IL passed away September 11, 2021.

Michael was born in Rockford on November 7, 1953.
He graduated from Guilford High School in 1971 and was looking forward to attending the upcoming 50 year reunion with all of his former classmates.  Michael attended the  University of Iowa and continued to be a devoted fan of the Hawkeyes, attending several football games each year with his family. He enjoyed going to music festivals such as Summerfest and On the Waterfront. Michael loved spending time in Florida, especially in the winter months. He was an avid bowler and had several 300 games. Michael was a member of Tebala Shriners Air Squadron for many years. He was also a member of the 32 degree York Rite Master Masons, Jesters Court 69, Naples Biliken Club and the University Club in Rockford.
He was the owner of an Optical business in Rockford for many years and enjoyed getting to know his customers. He was a devoted husband and father taking care of his late wife Sharon throughout her illness and gave selflessly to charities throughout Rockford.

He is survived by his children Michael Acaley and Michelle Washington; grandchildren Isaiah and Isabel Acaley: sister in laws Nancy(Dennis) Mckinney and Lori(Bill) Englund; brother in law Charles(Dawn) Gregory.; nieces, Megan Gregory and Amy Englund. Predeceased by his parents, Earl and Ruth Fulling and his loving wife, Sharon and her her parents, Josephine and Loyd Gregory.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.,Sunday September 19th followed by a Masonic ceremony at Anderson-Long-Klontz Funeral Home, 6825 Weaver Road, Rockford,IL
Private family burial will take place at Willwood.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Shriners Children’s hospital in Michael’s memory.
